city at night 2

Brooklyn at night can be a breathtaking sight.  what better way to capture the mood then with some large washable crayola markers.

newkirk station

havana hotel 1

one of a series of water color paintings i did that were inspired by the architecture of the 60's and 70's. the idea that these buildings were once thought of as the future of architecture have been abandoned and most of these buildings are now being demolished.  It's a manifestation of unusual inspiration much like watching Logan's Run today and thinking that's what the future will look like.

Highway

This is a lovely little painting i did using some left over house paint.  the subject of the brooklyn queens expressway is common in alot of my work because i find limitless inspiration from overly industrial settings.

Alley

This is a drawing that i did a long time ago, that eventually i turned into a large painting. the composition ultimately became a overwhelming concept that was difficult to break away from. much like a song that is stuck in your head, i found that most of my work that came right after this dealt with the same composition. the alley represents the formation of a rift between two opposing forces, the negative space becomes the subject matter as i have only provided a minimal amount of detail.

BQE overpass

This marker drawing was created by pressing heavily on one side, and allowing for the bleed through to create the details. sorry about the watermark, i'll post a new one without it soon.
